I have to let all of you know that the only reason that I have started this blog is that it is required for the class. I don't have enough to say, the time or the inclination to maintain a blog consistently. Several friends and colleagues have started blogs covering various topics from fashion on a budget to couponing to family updates. In each case, they started out strong and posted very regularly, but as time went on the number of posts dwindled. Comments were made about busy lives and other commitments that they needed to focus on. I can understand that. We all have so much going on in our lives that making a commitment to blog may not be a top priority.
I can see the benefit of using a blog within the scope of my daily work. Allowing the students to use this forum to share work, express thoughts and feelings, and encourage/critique each other, seems wonderful and safe, since the Circles that are added can be restricted.
I hope that learning more about his fascinating media will help me learn to be more flexible and to move outside of my small world in order to connect with my students on a level that they understand.
